The 2027 Corvette Stingray Joins the 200-MPH Club

The Corvette Stingray has officially reached a new milestone. For 2027, Chevrolet says the base Stingray is now capable of 200 mph on the track, giving America’s Sports Car a number that was once reserved for exotic supercars and top-tier performance models.

Power now comes from a new 6.7L LS6 V8 producing 535 horsepower and 520 lb-ft of torque, helping the Stingray accelerate from 0–60 mph in as little as 2.8 seconds. Even more impressive, Chevrolet lists the starting price at $73,495, making the Stingray one of the most accessible new 200-mph performance cars available.

For Corvette fans, this is more than just a top-speed number. It shows how far the Corvette has come while still staying true to its mission: delivering world-class performance at a price that continues to challenge the exotics.

2003 Ferrari 575M Maranello

5.7-Liter Naturally Aspirated V12

6-Speed Gated Manual Transmission

26,635 Miles

Rosso Corsa

508 Horsepower

A true modern Ferrari icon, this 2003 Ferrari 575M Maranello represents the pinnacle of front-engined V12 grand touring.

With total 575M production of just over 2,000 examples worldwide, most of which were F1 Transmissions, and only 246 cars built with the gated 6-speed manual transmission, manual-equipped examples represent roughly 12% of total production. Commonly cited production data shows only 167 examples produced for the U.S. market, further adding to the rarity of this particular Maranello.

Finished in classic Rosso Corsa over a beautifully appointed full Nero leather interior, this exceptional example has covered just 26,635 miles from new. Its brilliant color combination perfectly complements the timeless Pininfarina design. The paintwork, interior, and trim remain in outstanding condition, reflecting the careful ownership and meticulous maintenance this Ferrari has enjoyed throughout its life.

Purchased new from Lake Forest Sportscars in Lake Bluff, Illinois, this 575M was serviced by them until being acquired by its second owner in Arizona, who had it expertly maintained by an independent Ferrari service center in Scottsdale. It is accompanied by its original leather document wallet and service receipts.

Every detail speaks to a life of exceptional care and preservation.

This Maranello is equipped with several of the model’s most desirable factory options, including the sought-after Daytona-style seats. It is also equipped with the rare and highly desirable gated 6-speed manual transmission.

As the final evolution of Ferrari’s traditional front-engined V12 grand tourer before the arrival of the 599 GTB Fiorano, this 575M captures an important moment in Ferrari history: naturally aspirated V12 power, elegant Pininfarina design, and the engagement of a true gated manual gearbox.

Some Random Thoughts

My favorite part of a meeting is the sentence, “This will only take a minute.”

Some days I’m the windshield. Other days I’m the bug wondering what just happened.

I don’t always remember names, but I can remember the license plate from a car I owned 20 years ago.
