HEALING HEROES: Forty injured veterans took part this week in the Fifth Annual Las Vegas Mountain Bike Ride, an inspiring event where healing heroes cycle through Blue Diamond while raising awareness for Ride 2 Recovery, a physical and psychological rehabilitation and recovery program for veterans featuring cycling.
Mirage headliner Terry Fator, who supports numerous veterans charities, hosted the 40 riders at his show Wednesday and met with them afterward. R2R has a local program in Las Vegas called Project Hero where veterans can ride with a group on a weekly basis. The bicycles have been customized for the injured riders.
