CARLISLE, Pa. (CBS) – What will the next generation Corvette look like?
That’s the subject of debate as fans of the iconic American sports car flock to Carlisle, Pa. this weekend for “Corvettes at Carlisle,” one of the largest shows in the country.
The Chevrolet Corvette has survived and thrived over six generations – a marque that’s over half a century old.
As General Motors prepares to wheel out the next Corvette, fans can only imagine what’s in store.
“I hear a lot of good things about it,” Carlisle Events co-owner Lance Miller says. “I think what we’re gonna see is a smaller cubic inch motor and a lot of power coming out of it.”
Miller helps stage the annual Corvettes at Carlisle. He talked about what keeps this car in the automotive spotlight.
“The true passion behind the car comes from the people that own it.”
There’ll be Corvette race cars and the best examples this weekend in Carlisle.
