Callaway Kind Of Announced a
Supercharger kit for the C8 Corvette
Callaway, a household name among Corvette enthusiasts for tuning and improving Corvettes, made two announcements at Corvettes at Carlisle last week. The first is a supercharger kit for the C8 Corvette. The second is a 35th-anniversary package celebrating their partnership with GM.
The supercharger kit won’t be sold as a standalone system but instead will be sold through authorized GM dealers on a turnkey basis. The actual installation will be at Callaway’s Connecticut or California facility and then shipped to the selling dealer.
Current C8 owners can also have their cars upgraded through the “Second Chance” program, but more details have yet to be released. Customers can reserve a serialized production slot with a $1,000 deposit at this time by contacting Callaway directly.
The Callaway supercharged C8 Corvette will come with a three-year/36,000-mile powertrain warranty, which supplements the factory warranty. Callaway will also offer a five-year/60,000-mile warranty, but there is no pricing at this time. All engine services can be done at GM dealerships and are 50-state emissions compliant.
The “B2K 35th Anniversary Package” is priced at $34,960 and will come with lightweight forged wheels, 20-inch rears and 19-inch fronts, and a whole mess of carbon fiber aero, including a front splitter, rocker panel extensions, a rear spoiler with a fun slot gap, and a diffuser. The performance benefit of the 35th-anniversary package is the upgraded exhaust made from T304 stainless steel, which is 40 pounds lighter than the stock exhaust. It even comes with an integrated diffuser!

some random thoughts
We never really grow up, some of us just learn how to act in public.
The fact that some geniuses were laughed at does not imply that all who are laughed at are geniuses. They laughed at Columbus, they laughed at Fulton, and they laughed at the Wright Brothers. But they also laughed at Bozo the Clown.
Behind every successful man is a surprised mother-in-law.
