A cornocopia of classic Corvettes and curvaceous Cadillacs are on display Saturday at two parts of St. Augustine’s World Golf Village resort, thanks to four groups of car enthusiasts from Jacksonville and aroubnd the U.S.
Parked around the lake at the World Golf Village is the Vettes at the Village 123, with 111 Chevrolet Corvettes dating as far back as 1960. The annual Fathwers Daty weekend event is sponsored by the North Florida Corvette Association, Corvette Club of Mandarin and Jacksonville Corvette Club, and its display of the fiberglass fantastics runs until 2:30 p.m., all proceeds benefitting Wolfson Childrens Hospital.
Then in front of the St. Johns Countyvconvention center and Renaissance hotel, it is the Cadillac and LaSalle Club’s Grand National Tour. The national gathering for Cadillacs starts with local collecter Wellington Morton’s 1912Cadillac Touring with then-inniovative electric starter, on up to modern Caddies, with a hearse and ambulance thrown in. It’s running until 4 p.m.
