Have nothing going on today through Saturday (6/1-6/3) and happen to be in the area of the National Corvette Museum? If so, the Corvette Homecoming & Chevy Invitational should be on your list of things to do.
The homecoming will include seminars and sponsors showing their wares. There will also be a parade starting at 5:30 p.m. Friday. The parade will go from the NCM to the Bowling Green Ballpark.
On top of all the cars in the NCM, there are about 125 preregistered cars, including a 1954 Motorama Corvette, and 50 vendors.

After receiving a speeding ticket, do you: A) Cooperate with the police officer and calmly drive on your way at the posted speed limit? Or, B) Argue with the police officer, speed off, run a stop sign and cut off a motorcycle?
The Monroe County Sheriff’s Office says it booked a Houston, Texas man into Plantation Key jail Wednesday night after he chose answer B, and is now facing a reckless driving charge, misdemeanor marijuana and drug paraphernalia charges.
According to the report, Deputy Orlando Alvarez saw a Corvette going 81 mph in a 45 mph zone. The Corvette was pulled over and the driver was argumentative and denied he was speeding. After he was handed the speeding ticket, the driver said he’d see the officer in court and sped off directly in the path of an oncoming motorcycle, which was forced to take evasive actions as not to crash.
The officer gave chase and clocked him at speeds as high as 115 mph in a 45 mph zone. When he was pulled over for the second time, the driver was arrested and gave the statement that he was speeding because he was angry about getting a ticket. A subsequent search of the Corvette turned up a small amount of marijuana, drug paraphernalia and a 9 mm pistol.
