1979 Chevrolet Corvette L82 4-Speed
This one is rare for a number of reasons, not the least of which is the cars originality. The paint, and interior are original, and it is believed the 32k miles showing on the odometer is accurate. What makes it even more unusual is the fact that the original engine was replaced under factory warranty by Larry Barnes Chevrolet in Bosie, ID. on 4/20/79. We have the documentation to prove it, as well as the original window sticker, P.D.I. sheet, dealer correspondence and more.
The 2023 C8 70th Anniversary Edition was rolling off the assembly line but is now currently unavailable
After a short production run, the 2023 Corvette 70th Anniversary Special Edition package is currently unavailable to order as the result of a supplier constraint, according to GM Authority. The new constraint affects both the base 2023 Corvette, as well as the 2023 Z06, with the 70th Anniversary Special Edition package. It’s unclear at this time when the 70th Anniversary Special Edition package will once again be available to order or if GM will prioritize which model gets the constraint parts.
The 70th Anniversary Special Edition package for the 2023 Corvette offers a range of cosmetic enhancements that pay homage to the 70th birthday of America’s sports car, including:
Two specific exterior colors, Carbon Flash Metallic or White Pearl Metallic Tricoat
19-inch front/20-inch rear 20-spoke Carbon Flash-painted forged aluminum wheels with a red stripe.
Edge Red-painted calipers
Rear fascia/roof storage protector in black with embroidered crossed flags logo
Ceramic White leather seating surfaces with red stitching
Torch Red seat belt color
70th Anniversary set of premium leather weekend/travel bags
70th anniversary exterior badging and logo on wheel caps, seats,
steering wheel and sill plates
The 70th Anniversary Special Edition package is available as an option package on the base model, the Z06, and both Coupe and Convertible models. The price for the package is $5,995.

It was always on my bucket list to own a convertible so in July of 2020, I purchased a 2007 LeMans blue metallic convertible with a beige top. Because of Covid there were few car shows and caravans, the Black Hills Corvette Classic rally had been canceled for July. My wife and I did take it to the Black Hills for the Sioux Falls Corvette Club fall color run. We had a great time social distancing in our new-to-us Corvette.

1979 Corvette L82 Coupe
L82 4-spd! Like new with only 2800 original miles!
This pristine example makes you feel like you’ve just traveled back to 1979, walked into Sam Cummins Chevrolet-Buick in Paris, KY., and laid your eyes on this time capsule! The car is absolutely beautiful! And with the exception of the original battery (included in the purchase), belts and hoses, it’s pretty much like it was 43 years ago. It still smells new inside and drives like a new ’79! Even the Goodyear Polysteel Radial tires are still mounted on the RPO N90 aluminum wheels! The factory window and E.P.A. stickers are still affixed to the passenger side glass! Adding to the car’s rarity is the highly desirable combo of the optional L82 engine mated up to an M21 close ratio 4-spd. manual transmission! Other options include air conditioning, power windows, Gymkhana suspension, 3.70 rear axle ratio, AM/FM stereo, tilt/tele steering column, carpeted floor mats and more!
We invite you to come see this
time capsule in person.
