Columbia, SC (WLTX) — In one of the most brazen reports of car theft in the Midlands, someone stole a Corvette from the Jim Hudson Toyota dealership using a tow truck.
Irmo Police are asking for the public’s assistance in solving this July 8th car theft.
At around 6:50 that Sunday morning, an unknown suspect drove a black unmarked tow truck onto the Jim Hudson Toyota lot at 970 Columbiana Drive in Irmo.
After entering, the driver hooked up a 2007 burgundy Chevrolet Corvette and towed the car from the lot. Surveillance photos show the black tow truck entering and leaving with the Corvette.
It is unknown if there were any other occupants in the black truck.
The Irmo Police are asking for any information concerning this theft and we want to know who is responsible.
