JAMES CITY, Virginia:Corvettes for the Vets – Winery hosts Corvette event

JAMES CITY — The Williamsburg Winery will host the second annual “Corvettes for the Vets” event on Sunday, July 1st from 11am – 3pm.  More than 100 Corvettes will be showcased in a display of all classes and vintages.  Proceeds help assist Operation Homefront to support the men and women of our U.S. Armed Forces and their families.

The public is welcomed to experience this exhibit of the iconic, American sports car in surroundings that provide a beautiful setting where they can lend support to our local, military programs.

Admission is $5 for those wishing to simply view the showing, listen to the music, browse offerings from a number of vendors, and take their chances at three, afternoon raffles sponsored and coordinated by VFW Post 4639.  Children under 8 years old are Free.  Adults paying $25 will enjoy a BBQ lunch paired with Williamsburg Winery wines.All admission proceeds directly benefit Operation Homefront.

An awards ceremony at 2pm will recognize winners in many categories, including “Peoples Choice”, “Best in Class”, and “Best Paint”.

The “Corvettes for the Vets” concept owes its start to efforts by several Williamsburg Winery associates who are members of the local, Colonial Corvette Club in Williamsburg.  The event’s success is helped by support from this year’s sponsors – Holiday Chevrolet, Express Employment Professionals, Bay Port Credit Union, Williamsburg Event Rentals, Liberty Mutual, and Flemings Awards & Promotions.
