More than a thousand residents dished out cash to see some hot wheels, and the money raised goes to local kid’s charities.
The 9th annual Wheels Xtravaganza sponsored by the Amarillo Area Corvette Club featured nearly 150 cars, pick-ups, motorcycles and corvettes for fans to look at.
The event benefits Hope and Healing Place, Angel Tree, Camp Alphie, and The Maverick Boys and Girls Club.
“As everyone in this area knows, times are tough, and it’s harder and harder every year for non-profits to raise money, to take care of our own community and that’s why we think it’s very important,” Lissa Callaway with the Amarillo Area Corvette Club said.
Door prizes and over sixty awards were given out to those who participated.
