The European premiere of the Corvette Z06 has been made recently as the performance vehicle has been brought to the 2015th edition of the Geneva Motor Show.
If you were wondering what is taking so long for Chevy to bring the new Corvette Z06 to Europe, you will be glad to know that the wait is over as the carmaker has officially brought the sports car to the 2015 Geneva Motor Show, where it made its public debut. The debut of the model has been made back in 2014, at the NAIAS, in Detroit, and it will be offered for sale on the Old Continent starting from this spring.
“The Chevrolet Corvette Z06 is the most powerful and technologically advanced model in the iconic car’s 62-year history. The Z06 rejoins the Corvette lineup in 2015 with a strong aluminum frame, an aero package designed to produce performance-enhancing downforce and an all-new, supercharged 6.2L V-8 engine producing 659 horsepower (485 kW) and 881 Nm of torque”, says the carmaker in its official press release.
The cheapest version of the new Corvette Z06 will be the coupe, which will start from 99,500 euros, in Germany, but if the convertible is what you are looking for, than get ready to pay 104,500 euros before getting your hands on the model. The price is quite high compared to that of the U.S. version, which stands at 78,995 USD and 83,995 USD, respectively. The 6.2L V8 supercharged engine is connected to a 7-speed manual or an optional 8-speed automatic transmission and for some extra 16,500 EUR, Chevy will also offer the Performance package, adding the aerodynamic elements, Brembo ceramic brakes and Michelin Pilot Super Sport tires.
