A sport utility van and a Corvette were involved in a fiery crash in the Boyle Heights area of Los Angeles early Monday morning. The police said one of the vehicles was reported stolen and the two cars may have been street racing.
The crash occurred at about 12:30 a.m. on Washington Boulevard near Soto Street. Both vehicles were on fire when authorities arrived at the location, but the drivers of the SUV and Corvette left the location before officers arrived.
Witnesses told investigators they saw several vehicles racing in the area before the crash.
