Sometimes it is an honor to just be picked, and this is always the case when a major publication decides a car is worthy of reviewing. This time it was Motor Trend in their yearly Best Driver’s Car competition.
You must feel sorry (not really) for the magazine, as picking and ranking cars is a no-win situation. People always say why didn’t they pick my car, how is that car better than this car, why is my car the only manual transmission car, or sure my car is not ranked higher than a car that costs 3 time as much, how is that fair!
With all the cars Motor Trend had to pick from, just being picked was a huge honor. Being #7 in this pack says a lot about the C7 Grand Sport. It does not come with turbos or superchargers like most of the competition, it is the 3rd lowest priced car to be tested and it was one of only 3 to come with a do-it-all-yourself manual transmission (the others were another Chevy and a Mazda, also the other least expensive).
