Corvette show raises money for troubled kids – Knoxville Tennessee

Corvette owners showed off their slick rides Sunday, while trying to raise money for troubled kids in the area.

The 43rd annual East Tennessee Corvette car show held it’s event at Reeder Chevrolet in Knoxville.

The show brings together corvette owners from all over East Tennessee to raise money for Angel Tree. It’s an organization that supports underprivileged youth in the area.

Last year, the show raised $19,000 dollars and helped some East Tennessee kids have a better Christmas.

“We did 117 children last year. We gave each child near 100-dollars worth of Christmas presents,” said Corvette owner Steve Fischer.”So we’re very proud of that.”

the show brings together all sorts of Corvette owners, from some who like to race, to others who just like to show off their wheels.

Organizers expect more than 100 cars in total for this year’s show.
