CLAVERACK – A fire that quickly turned into an inferno Monday caused extensive damage to a Brookbound Lane home.
Five fire companies from Claverack, Churchtown, Greenport, Mellenville and West Ghent all responded to the fast-moving fire at 52 Brookbound Lane which officials said may have started in the attached garage.
Fire officials confirmed that a Chevrolet Corvette (unknown year) was inside the garage was destroyed but there were no other injuries.
